    Default Transmission Problems

I'm starting to wonder if I need a trans service or a new trans

When I take off in the morning or even during the day, the trans seems to take a while to change gear, if I time it rightly I'll take my foot off the accelerator, it'll change gear.
There's enough trans fluid in it.

Anyone know of this problem, ideas of what I can do?

sounds like its due for a service mate not a rebuild, just give it a good flush of new oil and slap a new filter in there and a good clean wen u pull it apart will be alright again mate

A new trans will cost upwards of $2000, so first try a service as suggested...will cost about $200. I'd also try an error code test which is very easy to do and may show up ant transmission problems: Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)

I ran a error code, it only flashed twice, is that a bad thing?

There's also a vibrating noise coming from somewhere, only when I slow right down, and sometimes when it's at idle, it does go away.

Which gear changes are you referring to? 1 -> 2, 2 -> 3, 3 -> 4, or all changes? Are the shifts harsh or normal?

Try the error code test again...read instructions carefully....if all is OK it will flash once and then two times meaning code 12... what you say may be 12??...if so then it means no fault codes logged.
Re the 'vibrating noise' - as it happens at idle as well as when driving it will not be transmission related. What I would do is replace the plugs and leads....together they will cost about $80AUD to fit yourself. At the same time I'd add a tin of injector cleaner (go for the dearer ones...Nulon etc). This will get your ignition and injection system back to 'normal' unless you have other problems.
I'd also spend a few hours going back over old posts on this forum looking for similar threads....it will also give you a bit better understanding of what is what (not mean't in a patronising manner!!!).
