Catback exhaust for VR Commodore

Ok, I have a 94 VR berlina in which the only exhaust modifications are a sports muffler/chrome tip. This made it sound pretty nice compared to the stock exhaust, but I still want more. The guy at the exhaust place said a cat-back exhaust could still be easily fitted for about $300 extra. My question is, will cat-back exhaust make my car a lot louder as opposed to just the sports muffler? I dont want to pay too much (ie no extractors) but I want my car to sound pretty beefy.

i paid 280 for my cat back exaust 2.5 mandrel bent sports exaust but my car already had extractors when i got it so it sounds beefy but i think your better of with the cat back exaust cause apprentally it increses the power and fuel econmy but i dunno

Sounds pretty good. It appears that 2.5" catback is the go. Since I already have the rear muffler, hopefully should be a bit cheaper to get the rest of the exhaust system done. Tomorrow morning I'll give the exhaust place a call to check up about pricing. Hopefully it will give me a significantly louder exhaust

I have 2.5" from cat back with 1 muffler and 1 resonator, cost me $250.

i have the vs ecotec i got a 2 1/2" catback lukey exhaust with 1 muffler sounds good on acceleration but cruising along its not very loud cost $300
