Hey looking for instructions on how to replace the rear springs on a live axle vs as i have super lows to put in and not 100% sure. i will be doing it at work so will have a hoist and every other tool under the sun..
Very easy, raise car, unbolt top or bottom shock mount (your choice) this will allow you to remove old spring. install is reverse of the removal. may be easier with the wheels removed.
Power is measured in DECIBEL
thanks mate i figured it would be easy as.
When you undo your shockers mate just rest something under them to take the load off the bolt so u don't strip it on the way out
i didnt even have to undo any bolts
pretty much...
jack car up
take off wheel
pull springs out, i just used my hands, but they were lows anyway
put new springs in
put wheel on
unjack
might have to use spring compressors if there just stock springs but. 20 bux at supercheap.
shit easy
To remove the rear springs on a live axle model,I just jack up the rear of the car and sit it on chassis stands. Then I support the lower rear control arm with a jack and then remove the bottom rear control arm bolt, then I just lower the control arm down a bit with a jack. Its the quickest and easiest method Ive found to do this job, especially when the original height springs are fitted. It takes 30 seconds to undo this bolt, and another 20 seconds to lower the arm with the jack, too easy..
Thanks guys just used your words of knowledge to put in some rear springs. cheers
