    Default Gears stiff

Any idea why my gears are having trouble changing?
This happened once before until they couldn't change. It got fixed but I can't remember what it was. Now it's happening again.
They change ok but are clunky

    (it's a 1996 VS exec)

    Cheers

First step would be to replace your clutch fluid and bleed it to make sure there are no bubbles.

Who said it was a Manual? Could of been an Auto he was referring to.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!

Has to be the clutch not releasing fully - this causes harsh engagement. To test if this is the fault, try selecting reverse from standstill...any crunching/grinding indicates clutch not releasing fully. Fix depends on what clutch you have. Hydraulic or cable.

In a Series II it will be hydraulic.

Yep, bleed and inspect for leaks.

Oil level in the trans.. Also look for sparkling metallic pieces in the oil. That will give some idea of what the internals of the 'box are like.
