    Default VS Door Speakers

Hey I've got a VS Berlina Sedan and I was wondering what size the front door speakers are and the size of the speakers on the parcel shelf. What is the maximum size you could fit in there without major door modifications and preferably with none at all? How many screws hold it in place and are they placed on the diagonals or on the horizontal and verticals?

    Cheers
    Chris

In the VR it is 6.5 inch. I would imagine the VS would be the same. Usually just 4 screws in standard alignment.

That's both. You can put 6x9's in the rear if you want to buy "spacers" (Most of them are basically overpriced sheets of MDF.. It's really not worth it considering the money you spend on them could easily cover the cost differential between coaxial and component speakers) but oval speakers sound like crap anyway. It depends on the speakers you buy, really. Some come with 4 screw mounting points, some come with only 3. It really is a case of trial and error to get them lined up.

VR/VS speakers are a three screw mount, and are a standard 6.5 inch speaker. front and rear are the same. unless its a statesman. and then theyre coaxial in the rear. and splits in the front. 90% of aftermarket speakers should fit in the existing holes without modification.
