Flashing indicators

Hi guys the indicators on my vs statesman keep on flashing when i press the lock button on the remote, not at the same time but left one then right one..Some scumbag pinched my manual so i cant look it up so any help or advice would be much appreciated..

Im pretty sure Ive read that the different flashes from the blinkers when locking/unlocking the car,stand for different error codes that are to do with the security system or something along those lines.I could be completely wrong ,but im sure I remeber reading something like this somewhere.

In my VS it means the engine immobilizer is active and the car wont start. Not sure if its and aftermarket thing or not.

well in my VS the indicators will flash 3 times to indicate a break in so im assuming thats why its doin it
