I have got a problem with my heater being stuck on i know there it vacuum goin into the heater box but nothing coming out on the line to the heater tap so im asuming the problem is behind the dash some where
Can any one shed some light on this?
there is a vacum line that comes off the engine and goes to the firewall near the heater hoses
check this is plugged into the motor,
then check under dash left hand sied lower for little vacum lines and make sure all plugged in
when the vacum line has a leak it turns it to dash vent as a safety precaution so as to remove fog when humid weather
having engine running sometimes you can hear the vacum leak inside the car like a slow hissing
if you cant fault it yourself fork out the 120 bucks and get a holden dealer to diagnose it for you, worth it if its an actuator leaking vacum....
10 to 1 that your problem is that the temperature hot/cold dial is not turning the heater off when you want cold. I'll attach some pics that show you the actual switch located to the left and up from where your left ankle is when you are in the drivers seat.
Edit...in the first pic, the white arm on the right is just touching the black tip of the vacuum switch....when COLD is dialled, the arm will depress the black tip. To achieve this you must readjust the steel rod that attached to the white arm.

if u want to turn of to u fix the problem mate conect a vacum line to ur heater tap so when u start her it sucks in to close the heater tap so its not so hot in the car
the plastic heater tap in the engine bay driverside is probably stuck open, they are sh!t and only cost about $17.
I changed our vs acclaim one in 2009 it was eleven yrs old. we had hot and cold air coming through with the air con on.
