Default Holden VS Ute, Need Advice :)

Hey guys been a while since ive made a thread so why not make a quicky

Just wondering what tip you guys reckon i should get for my VS Ute as i still haven't got round to it and it would probably finish it off nicely.

    Heres a piccy.

What do you guys think as i did go to a exhaust shop ages ago and he did actually order in a 2.5inch in twin 2 inch out but he never called back and i never went back.

Do you guys think a twin 2 inch tip would fit or you reckon i should go for something else?

Just looking for ideas and advice as to what you guys would do, i reckon a twin something tip would look good but i dont want dumpers.

Look forward to hearing some ideas

    Thanks
    Matt.

I'd go the twins! Twin 2" is a little small though in my opinion. I wouldn't get one with a rolled lip either; they tend to whistle. Also remember that stainless yellows with heat

Yer but i thought twin 2" would be the only setup that would fit without cutting my bumper etc? Unless i get the shop to sort of drop it down a bit. So you reckon get twin 2.5" with no rolled lip?

As for colour it doesnt really bother me as it would be better then the current 2.5" pipe lol.

Got any pics of what your thinking cander?

    Thanks
    Matt.

Have a look at my thread mate.
Twin three inch dumpies, they might sound big but they look so so so so good.
I had to cut my bumper but it's like a 10 minute job with tin snips and some sanding.
    Soooo worth the effort.

Yes if you want to fit it in the standard cutout thats about as big as you could go, but will look tiny imo. I think the twin 2.5's with no rolled lip would look good without being overboard. Basically just imagine what you've got now, sitting side by side. Would require a small trimming to the bumperette though which can be done neatly with little patience and avoid the necessity of respraying.
Don't have any pics of the setup I has on my vs ute sorry.

I may have to go and annoy an exhaust shop and see what he can do and what he thinks.

Seriously mate, if you're keen enough to make a thread about it, it means you care about it enough to do it properly.
Trim your bumperette and chuck some twin dumpies on like mine.
    I've gotten so many compliments.
The unrolled lip and tough steel look is to dieeeee for.

Dumpies are gay as anything. Nothing can beat twin 2.5inch. Any decent exhaust shop could get it looking good. I got bored on my old 2 litre honda once and welded twin 3 inch :P Looked good.

    Thanks mate.
See everyone, a compliment on my dumpies. Hence why you shoulld get them jokerflingo.
I got them down at a joint called midas here in Melbourne. They only cost $99.00 for the tips and installation which was an absolute steal.
I don't know if you have midas exhaust centers in Sydney, but I'm sure other joints will stock similar items.
I've also seen them at autobarn before but they wanted like $140.00 just for the tips, which is ridiculous.

matt, you need to get new reflectors that go underneath the tail lights, faded = fail. also, delete the tonneau cover hooks off the rear tub.

    then twin dump tips.

Maybe its cause i had my exhaust dumped under the cab and it droned so i have a phobia of them :P

Maybe it would be ok on a V8 but it just doesnt seem right on a 6 lol

Do you think I've been talking about literally dumping your whole exhaust system at the diff this whole time?
I've been talking about twin three inch dumper tips....

    Ahhhhh, that's a fair call.
I'm giving up on my persuading, I can see you're not sold.
Maybe just some twin tips of some kind will neaten it up, or even another in the same size but chrome?

Then why don't you fit a single tip a little bit bigger in some chrome.
