finding engine number

have put an ecotec from a VT into my VS, have to register the number with Vicroads. where is this number? is it behind the coil pack? if so how do i remove the coil pack?

Easy, grab a torch and shine it done near the A/C Compressor. You may need to clean it down if you can't see the engraving.

Rub some chalk into it when you find it, will make it easier to read.
