Hey guys, just wondering, if i lower my VS commodore with IRS on ultralows, what will i need to reduce camber wear, and will i need shortened shocks to.
cheers
Camber kit, and it is always recommended to get shortened shocks when lowering your car below SL
SL being kings Superlows or just Lows. cheers man, just heaps of people saying two different things
also a 4 point camber kit or what?
Yeah SL is superlows man.
SSL's "or ultralows" will require a 4 point camber kit, its recommended to change shocks too but it isnt entirely nessecary
if you search this site for your answer you will find many many members all asking the same question. i know it's new for you, but it's been done by almost all on this site.
quick answer: camber kit, shortened shocks, get 4 wheel - alignment and check that your diff mount is not worn, you can get a nolathane insert that will stiffen up this mount, if you cut corners here, tyres will scrub out on inside edge wasting money....best of luck.
Cheers for the answers guys, i just want a low Vs and i dont think SL's are low enough, but for the SSL and the other required parts, it cost an arm and a leg, on casual employment :/
cheers anyways
mate if price is a worry a camber kit isnt to expensive and the shocks arent nessecary, i have SSL's and stock shocks in my SS.
i totally agree with SL's being too high as well
Will SSls tuck tyre on 18s?
Oh ok, well my mechanic said go for the SLs so I kinda have to, but if they arent low enough then ultras it is, and maybe the camber kit, then when the shocks die get some new ones
i have superlows with monreo shocks and bumber stops and camber kit, It looks low with out being to low, i dont get any unwanted attention passed plenty of RBA and " random checks" lol just my 2 cents superlows give that nice sleeper look
cheers man, thats what i want![]()
