Default Cracked engine mount plate v8

Today i put my vr v8 up on ramps to see where an oil leak is coming from, while checking around i noticed the 4-5 bolt plate on the block that the engine mounts to is cracked right across and the drivers side was much the same. The rubber engine mounts appears to be in good condition, possibly replaced in the last few years.

These cracks appear to be from fatigue as the plates have some surface and doesn't look recent. the car has had light front damage from previous owner new bumper and radiator, bonnet etc also car has FE2 suspension (hard ride)
The radiator support was not changed as they only had to paint one end.

has any one heard of these plates cracking before (17 year old car) and where would i buy these from genuine??

I not for what is worth, rip it out, take it to a boily's shop and have them repair it. Im sure they could also stregnthen it also at the same time so it dosnt happen again.
