radio security code

Just bought a VS but no owners manual, have the radio code but need procedure to make it work, e.g. what buttons do I hit and in what order. Cheers

From a vt should work.


Taken from the radio handbook from a VT


1. Turn ignition to accessories position

2. "1" will appear on the display

3. Use the 6 preset buttons to enter the supplied 4 digit pin number. As each number is entered, the number is shown on the display

4. If the correct pin was entered, the radio will become operational. The release procedure will NOT have to be performed again, unless the cars battery is disconnected

5. If the incorrect PIN was entered "2" will appear on the display

6. Enter the correct pin and the radio will operate. Should an incorrect pin number have been entered agai, "3" will appearin the display. The radio will only accept the pin number once more. Should this attempt be incorrect again the display will show "---" and the radio must remail in the car for approximately 1 hr before the correct pin number can be entered. The key can be removed from the ignition during the hour, but remember to turn it to accessories when attempting to re-enter the pin. If "---" still appears on the display you may need to wait a little longer.
