so dad went to move my car and pushed the handbrake button so far in it wont come out and the handbrake wont engage normally the button would stick and when you pull the brake it pops back out? anyone know what the go is? buggered spring/catch or something?
Remove the trim around the handbrake and check to see exactly what is happening....probably bent the rod that disengages the ratchet pawl. Replacement may be the option if it's badly bent - from memory the handbrake is held on by large pop rivets.

does anyone ahve any clue?
i pulled the centre console out and i souolcnt see anythign wrong i tried playing with the rod that i assume goes up into the button but nothing and without jacking up the car and going underneath ive got no idea?
Can you push the button and watch the rod move the pawl that works the ratchet? - the problem would have to be there. I'm only guessing but maybe when the button was pressed too hard, the pawl went past it's normal position, and needs to be pulled back to it's normal position. Use a torch and a mirror to inspect if necessary. To remove the handle you would need to disconnect the cable underneath the car and then the handbrake lever retaining bolts (no pop rivets - confused with T bar).

ah sall good the rod in the lever i played with it see if it was just caught or something and wouldnt budge go through pulling out centre console and everything at the end im like wtf try messing with the rod again and clicks into place and now it works better than before liek never sticks lol
This happens to mine all the time.. The grip moves up a tad and when the button gets pushed in it catches and stays released.. I just give it a solid hit with my palm and shes apples... I'll spray some wd-40 in there soon...
