Now to answer his question, yes I agree turn it anti-clockwise half a turn once. Wait, then return it back to the original position. You'll need remove the rear wheels first.

lol sorry guys, in rushed that. i had a service recently and got told that the o2 sensor is missing, just wondering if mechanics fix this or someone else??

You can fix it yourself. Grab an o2 sensor new for $60 or so, from the wreckers cheap, or I can send you a spare used one I have. its a 4 pin for VRs I think, and it just screws into the y pipe part of the exhaust under the car, then there's a plug for the other end.
