Just going for rego check on my 1997 VS series11 wagon and steering lock not working any idea, i have been playing around with dashes and wiring? any help please Allan.
I just taken covers off ign. swicth all wires alright??do i have to replace ignition switch then!!!Allan
The lock itself is inside the barrel it has nothing to do with any electrical system
As above.....is the problem that when you remove the key, the steering is not locked?

Hi hako yes the steering is not locked? Allan
Try getting a used one from a wreckers
I've only got 3 wreckers around Kempsey NSW and they all say no and 2 where on phones for heaps asking other wreckers, so what do i do? thanks Allan
Are you sure they will check that this is working for a RWC?....I've never seen it specifically tested as to check it requires turning the steering wheel with engine off which is very difficult....usually taken for granted that it works.
Send me a pm with your email address and I'll scan the pages on how to remove the ignition key and lock cylinder.

Try popping the ignition out? Having a look and seeing if it's broken? Do you knw how to take it out?
