hey,
when the engine is hot, i push the clutch in and it make a kind of popping or maybe a clicking sound. its only one pop and i can feel it throught the pedal.
it doesn't effect performance at all its just a bit un-nerving hearing it pop.
but when its cold it is fine.
thanks
i forgot to mention this is for a vr v6
Sounds like a Thrust bearing / pressure plate problem.
Best to get it checked out by a clutch specialist.
hmmm hope its not the thrust bearing. The clutch, thrust bearing and pressure plate are all brand new..........
and i can feel it in the pedel too, which makes me think it might be the clutch cable. but the cable seems pretty good
Brings an actual meaning to the term popping the clutch doesn't it![]()

Check the clutch cable outer is not rubbing or catching against something so that when you use the clutch and the inner cable is tightened, the outer firms up and moves/pops. Wild guess I know but easy to check the entire cable run..
