Hi all, ive been looking to pick up a vs gts, but cannot find one in my price range and in good condition. Ive since started looking at clubsports. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what changes were made from the series one vs to series two vs clubsport. Thanks.
not sure on the clubby's but exec's just had minor changes like, side indicators from square to oval, boot release in the glove box got shifted to next to the fuel release near the drivers seat, cluster warning light for seatbelt got added from memory.
I have a VS exec series 2. All of the above are correct except I don't have a cluster warning light for the seatbelt.
i do remember seeing it on multiple series II commo's that ive taken clusters out of, but all series 1's didn't ever have it, try a flashlight into the warning sections of the cluster it might be there but they didn't use it till series 3 perhaps? not sure.
hmmm my series 3 hasnt got a seatbelt warning either though?
I got seatbelt warning ^_^ 1996 SII HSV enhanced Berlina

I do have an orange seatbelt light that stays lit for about 4 seconds after starting the car but it's never stayed on until I plug the seatbelt in.
well im not sure about the seatbelt thing then, would hazard a guess late series 1 up or SS/HSV, ive seen 2x series 1 berlina's plus mine that doesn't have seatbelt light there early series 1, heap of exec's series 2 with it.
hmm alright so really no huge changes. They few senators ive seen, im not a fan of the front end, with the two tone colours they got happening. Senators are also a few grand higher up.
my 97 senator has the boot release in the glove box...weird

as a note all the ones ive seen also that have the boot release next to the drivers seat has the panel in the glove box for the button but no button, so perhaps it was an option at the time i dunno.
Me too. Seatbelt warning was standard on Series 2 clusters....
Pubber, try finding a manual senator...so hard! GTS/Clubby rear wing shits on the Senator one though, Senator front grille is better than the clubby/GTS.
ideal VS HSV
- Senator
- Manual
- Devonish Leather
- Sunroof
- Clubby/GTS rear spoiler
- Panther Mica
BOOM!
I have a statesman SII L3 cluster which does have a seatbelt warning.
