Cool power aerial / antenna VS

Hi Guys, I am having trouble finding a 2nd-hand power aerial from wreckers. Any suggestions on where to go (now - that's an offer you can't refuse)..Or should I just bite the bullet and give my hard earned to a Holden Dealer.....but it hurts...

    Thanks in anticipation..

It's going to be hard to come across a second hand one. But any local auto shops should be able to order you an Aerpro automatic antenna. Part number as AP6 or Barcode: 9317114865670. Should set you back around $50-80 depending if your locals charge for freight. I was even nice enough to grab a list of your local shops that stock them .

You may also consider whether you need a power aerial - a manual one costs under $20 and as you live in the big smoke you really don't need to raise the aerial - manual or power, as there is sufficient signal strength.

Or you could just get a wire coat hanger, bend it into a map of Australia (VERY IMPORTANT! LESSENS SIGNAL STRENGTH BY AT LEAST 3db IF NOT SHAPED THIS WAY) and use that instead :P!

AP70 is the part code for the manual instead.. In case you were wondering :P

I replaced mine with the Aerpro AP6 just goes up and down so the switches don`t work.
    The holden one is semi/auto
    The Aerpro is fully automatic

Try looking up "wrecking berlina" or somthing like that on ebay. Thats how i did it. Just ask them for what u want. I also didnt bother with that auto aeirial setup, its painful tbh. Got mine setup that Up is up and Down is down, at anytime ignition on or off. Just be carful cause i got shoky'd the first time and done $20, i then bough off someone here and it came bent!.....anothr $20. Finally got one but it was an aeropro one anywayz lol $20 second hand. So allup cost me $60 for a second hand third party aerial. You'll want a right angle phillips head to get ur old one out too. The screw on mine was locktited which made it harder:/

To be perfectly honest, I just used a coat hanger.. I don't really use the radio since my stereo has my iPod hooked up to it. Coat hangers perform fine, just the volume is a little soft.. I would imagine with an actual antenna it would work as any standard one will..
