    Default My Poor VS Ute

Hey guys, ive got some bad news went riding on the weekend and took the ute and there was this tight section where my choice was either possible get bogged in sand or try and cut off a bit of the corner, well i took the second choice and i wish i would of taken the first and just got bogged.

Have a fair few scratches down the side of my VS Ute and at least 3-5 larger key type scratches which i don't think will budge.

Now my question is how much should i be looking at for 3 panels to be resprayed on my Holden VS 1997 Ute in Botanica Mica B148 i think. The front guard, door and rear panel all have scratches. Also if anyone has anyone they could recommend in Adelaide for such a job it would be highly appreciated.

Yes i know a tough lesson next time ill just get bogged

    Matt.

So really looking at painting full side.. Thats gotta suck .. Depends where ya go mate .. Im in Sydney/WOLLONGONG .. some shops round here charge around $300 per panel just to paint then repairs on top .. but if just scratches should get outta it for around $1000 - $1200 .. depending how deep and if and dents / other damage to ur panels i guess ... Also depending where you go and paint used some places may wanna blend bonnet so colour is rightso your looking at more there to.. But ur car colour got a nice flip to it so chances are you wont tell difference in guard and bonnet any way ( depends where scratches are on guard )

Agree with MR_RX3 you might be looking at $1200 depending on the repairing side of it.

Well i have a good update, it seems i underestimated metallic colour a bit, most of the scratches seemed to have been improved by at least 90% on what they were, ended up washing it, claybarring it, paint cleaner, swirl remover and some wax.

Im not sure if the above removed or improved the scratches or just filled them but either way it looks good enough to not need a respray, hopefully it will stay that way from now on.

    Thanks for the advice guys
    Matt.
