HI,
just a question, my heater no longer gets hot hot!! it gets a lil warm but still just as if the selector is in the middle of hot and cold.
the plastic selector under the drivers legs is connected so when you select hot it does move to the correct position. the heater tap was also replaced a while ago. all hoses are connecte. any ideas?????
Are you talking about the heater fan or the aircon? if its the aircon then it might need to be re-gased
when i put the heater on it blows cold air in my face not hot.
Is this when your driving the car for a while or when you are just standing still and idling at start up?
even after letting the car warm up and the temp gauge get to at least 1/4
You might have a faulty heater tap it could have a small split in it or a leak in one of the hoses near it
a blockage try flushing it all ? if it was a second handy heater tap. it could be screwed. second hand parts have no expected life
Make sure you have the A/C de-selected....if the A/C is still selected it will mix hot heater air with cold A/C air and you only get warm air. Also check that the 2 brass pipes near where the drivers left leg are very hot....if warm or cold when engine is running it means flow thru heater tap is blocked.

hmmm hako could you spread some light onto those brass pipes mine get super hot but mine only pushes out warmish air not as warm as when i first got it. i could cook a chicken on the friggin thing. any ideas?
mmmmmmmm chicken lol
just an example but yes was roasting haha
If both the pipes are hot it means hot coolant is flowing thru the heater so any air which passes thru the heater matrix should get hot....if it isn't maybe it means the air isn't passing thru the heater matrix....flaps not directing air correctly?...not sure how you can check.....one time on mine I found that I got warm air with the outside air mixing with it whilst if I had it on recirc the air was much hotter....another time the A/C was switched on and basically fighting with the heater. Sorry I cannot give a better answer.

Hi guys thx for the response. The heater tap was brand new and those brass pipes do get hot I burnt my self once touching around there trying to investigate why warm air. I usually keep the ac button on but I'm ptryy sure I have tried it without the ac button and the same result. I'll try that one tomoz!
