vr ute trip metre
hey in three months been through 3 dash clusters cause my trip metre has stopped workin the third wich only lasted 2 days the second time i reset it it did not start again the first 2 were 300 + oddo so i wasnt concerned but this last one was only 200 and from a always garaged vehicle so the gears should be fine!!? is this an electrical prob or is the a soulution???? cheers

It's a tiny plastic cog in the speedo that fails - they cost under $15 on Ebay to buy and come with instructions on how to fit. This is very common on all VDO speedometers fitted to Aust made cars.

Almost not here!
The original cog is rubber and has a little grease on it from new. The rubber goes soft and fail. The new plastic cogs should give longer service.
