Just have a couple of questions.
I am hell keen to put HID's in my commo but was just wondering what lights it covers? if i were to buy this kit ( 6000K BI XENON H4 HID KIT FOR VR-VS-VT HOLDEN COMMODORE | eBay ) Does it work for parker lights, driving lights and high beams? or what lights does the kit cover???
Also, has anyone got a link to an install guide for the VR/VS commodore and does anyone know if having the altezza headlights help?
Thanks in advance
Hids are illegal in cars that didn't come with them from factory mate...cops will give you a defect for it..
But I'm pretty sure that kit does just hi and low beam...you can always buy LEDs to go in ya parkers tho
Yeah not really to worried about legality but thanks for letting me know.. Any advice on install?
What you want is a Hi/Low kit.
Basically its one globe (per side), that has a light cover on the bottom of the globe. This cover cuts off some of the light when on "low beam", and thus will not "blind" oncoming traffic (HIDs in new mitsubishi's, hondas, mercedes etc are the ones that actually do blind you, they have auto adjust but certainly don't adjust for peoples eyes).
The light cover should be controlled by a solenoid, when you flick it to high beam the cover retracts giving you the full output of the bulbs, I've just removed my high beam globes (H3s) cos they were yellow and the single HID globe is more than enough light spread.
Parkers just buy LEDs, however some HID kits come with parkers.
