    well it basically unbolts,.

Take the belt off, undo the bolts on the unit (One or two of them hold the alternator on too) hmmm oh and the heater lines once unbolted basically just pull out too, make sure you have some fresh coolant and some silicone at hand :P

Once you start pulling bits off it will become clearer, oh and the unit is pretty expensive brand new from memory.

I just replaced one recently and it cost $133 from repco, and to take the belt off you need to loosen the tension first using a spanner on the pulley bolt/nut and then pull the belt off,but make sure you draw on a piece of paper a diagram of the belt on all of the pulleys otherwise you will forget how it goes back on.Then as cracka said you need to take all the bolts off it and you need to take the alternator off as well. You will need to carefully jiggle it off,and the heater hose comes out the side of it,put the new one on and then do everything in reverse that you did in taking it off, hope you can understand all of this cheers,

And don't forget that the bolt on the tensioner pulley is left handed.

Yeh I know Adds_05,I was in a hurry to fix it,I even had Repco deliver the bloody thing for me due to the bolt actually snapping off the pulley due to it being threaded and whoever the last person was to put a new belt on(not me) decided to use locktite on the pulley bolt, but I think even ebay has them for $90,but the brand I got was the DriveAlign which I think on ebay costs $190+ thats the whole assembly not just the pulley,so I got it way cheaper from Repco anyway.

of course, when your desperate, you pay whatever, but $133 is a bit of a joke for something like that...

rolf @ loctite on a system designed to not come undone on its own, thats why the bolt is left handed, Sorry to hear you had to fix some other muppets mistake.

Yeh thanx Cracka, its lucky that the water pump went for me to realise that the tensioner was about to fall apart,as soon as I started to loosen the tension the bolt just fell out so I was lucky It didnt happen while I was driving it.
