Default VR Calais heater tap solenoid location. please help

    Hi,
Does anyone know where the vac solenoid that controls the heater tap in a vr v8 calais is?
Someone has removed the tap and vac line on mine.
I've seen heaps of info on the standard AC system but not on much about thr climate control version.

Any diagrams or pics would be very apreciated.
    Thanks

The heater tap is the same for climate control or standard A/C and the vacuum solenoid is on the tap. Also, if the previous owner removed the tap to by-pass the heater then it may be due to a leaking heater core.

vacuum solenoid for heater tap is with the rest of them in a block underneath the storage tray below the stereo.

where the heater lines go through.

theres two of them - one from the engine to the solenoids, and then one back to the heater tap

No problem. I'm a bit confused as to whether you are talking about the heater tap in the engine bay or something else.

True, but the diagram you posted is for a V6 and not the one used in a V8.

Sorry, I assumed that they would be the same.
Edit: I googled one and I see the difference. The V6 and the LS1 use the same tap as my earlier pic.

i meant the solenoid that sends the vacuume to the heater tap actuator.
The core is fine, its just been running full flow.
