Is there a difference between the vr and vs boot lids?????

Hi everyone,

ok, i've come across this question before and after owning 1 vr and 3 vs models, I have always argued that the boot lids are the same! (besides the holes for the badges)

Now the other day the question popped up again, regarding the curve on the top edge, I said, like always, that it is the same!

Now i've come across this, 'Also the top edge of the boot is slightly different' Holden VS Commodore / Calais

After looking at countless photos im still not convinced. It appears there is a slight difference, yet im not 100% sure. Why would Holden go to such trouble in making a new mould for such a small difference?

Does anyone know the real answer and can explain?

Doubt it, but I've never actually looked, just assumed they were the same.

i doubt very much they would be different,i have a boot lid from a vs and my vr lid and ive never noticed a difference.

the curve on the boot might be a tad different.. vr looks curved whereas the vs looks like it has a tiny lip on it. not really noticeable when comparing cars but when comparing boots it kinda is

only going off pictures on google

Ive got bootlids off both models so I will check them both out tomorrow and post up what I find.I always thought they were exactly the same though...

They are exactly the same. Only difference is the VS has the newer Holden emblem.

+1 theyre the same no difference at all except the lion emblem

Mate to tell you the truth I completely forgot about it yesterday.I'll be out there again this arvo though,so I will check them both then.If theres any differences I will get some pics,but I doubt that there are any differences,im 99% sure that they are exactly the same...I will post up tonite what I find.Cheers.

I finally got a chance to look at both the boot lids this afternoon and theres no differences that I could see between the two.They are exactly the same.The badge is different though as already mentioned..
