lol you just unscrew the hook thing the jack handle attaches to and then you can just pull it out
You have to wind the jack down a little and it will just slide out![]()
Yeah, just turn the bolt around to crank it down a little and it will just slide out
hahahahaha thanks guys ill try now
this time i have a beer so itll definitely work

No offence but are you sure you want to change your springs yourself?
I hope your not just using that rusty old jack to support the car
Dont bother with the no offence caus i get what your saying.. And yes i am, because i need to learn how to
A few questions.
1. Is it better to use two carjacks?
2. which way do the nuts on the wheels turn for off
3. how do i get the nuts off! i dont have an elbow socket

Use stands to support the car, don't get under it with just the jack holding it. The jack is just for changing a flat.
Wheel nuts are the same as any other nut. Anti-clockwise to loosen.
VS jack handle is also the wheel brace. Well mine is anyway. Although I have stockies on mine, so standard wheel nuts.
That said, if you have to ask how to get a wheel off, you probably shouldn't be changing springs...
Car jacks are usually to lift the car and change tyres. Use axel stands to support the car while you do it.
Nuts turn anti clockwise, lefty loosy righty tighty
But as above changing springs is alot harder than changing a tyre etc
WTF u want to change springs and 1 dont know how to get jack out, and remove the tyres, take it to the profesional, hate to see you hurt yourself
1. if you can use a trolley jack and have axle stands, to put under the axles, as they are much much safer.
the jack given by holden isnt how would i say, good. more or less only good for fixing a spare on the side of the road
2. anticlockwise for taking them off, clockwise for tightening. (same as all nuts and screws)
3. when the car is on the ground loosen the nuts, otherwise in the air the wheel is likely to turn.
and if your gonna change springs, youll need a lot more then just a jack
I hope to god you are joking with them questions.
to those who gave answers thank youyou just helped me learn a little more

Jack it up, undo the rear, lower trailing arm bolt, pull the shock off and drop the arm, basically.
Where would you get stands from? Where the #### do you think? Try supercheap etc.
As for us being pieces of shit, if you have to ask how to get the jack out and how to remove a wheel...well I for one don't have much confidence in you changing springs correctly...
Springs shouldn't drop put, if they do then they're not captive or legal.
Have you bought lowering springs yet? If so what height? If you want to go low you'll need shortened rear shocks
If you have stock springs you will need a spring compresser, only lowered springs "fall out", stands cost anywhere from about 35-80 bucks. Worth while havign a set. I suggest you edit that post of calling people on here pieces of shit..
just picked up a supershit catalouge and their are stands in there for 20 bucks..

Yoo's a Troll
There is no such thing as stupid questions, Only stupid people.
whatever you do, do not use bricks, or buckets, or rims or whatever to hold up a car when jacked up.
only use axle stands or a proper hoist.
Mate I didn't mean to insult you, and I think that was clear. It's hardly fair to say 'pieces of shit' when I was perfectly respectful towards you and only here to help.
I think it's great that you want to get in and have a go to learn. But, I honestly think you're better of starting smaller because no one wants to see you get hurt or killed because you got crushed by your car. Do some more research, make sure you have all the right parts and tools, and have read over what exactly you will be doing before you even go near the car. A workshop manual should be required reading before you try this stuff.
With the front springs, don't just undo the top nut. The spring will fly off and take you with it. You need to get spring compressors, but even with spring compressors you need to be careful.

Yeah you'll need spring compressors for the front. I've never used them on the rear springs.
