air noise wen not breaking

I have a vs ss manual and the brakes his wen you don't use them, from the pedal, and stops wen you brake. Abs off light is on, brakes need bleeding. Anyone from yamanto or Ipswich area wanna help I'll buy you a carton and do most work if instructed. Cheers. Brand new pads and rotors. Abs module underbonnet makes ticking noise wen connected. Does it need to be bled?

if there's air in the abs module you can try bleeding through but really need a tech1 scantool to cycle the abs while bleeding also tech1 can test each wheel hub. It could also be a abs wheel hub as they tick or pulse when active, Does it still brake normally? I have a tech1 and the Tools but am up on the otherside of toowoomba. What ABS fault code did you get?

I get abs off. Brakes were good just no abs and now I need to bleed my new brakes and I found back left rubber brake line was split. Any help would be great

It sounds like a buggered brake booster. If its making a hissing noise, then its leaking vacuum.You can test the brake booster by doing the following-
With the engine turned off,pump the brake pedal about 6 times to deplete any stored vacuum left in the booster.Then hold the brake pedal in,and whilst holding it in,start up the enigne.The brake pedal should sink in slightly as the engine is started.If it doesnt do this,then the booster is either not recieveing vauum from the engine,or the booster itself is stuffed and needs replacing.
