hey guys looking at buying some rims for my commy.. need some help with sizes and stuff tho... i have stock 15s on there now and im looking at some nice rims that have the size 18" x 7.5"... just wondering what the 7.5" part is ?? and will they fit on my vs solid axle commy ??
Cheers
the 7.5 is the rim width.
For
them to fit, they must be 5stud, pcd120x5, with the correct offset.
screw rims mate, go silver intereptors(cop rims)
they look bloody tough on a LOW vr/vs commodore
did you want aftermarket wheels or holden/hsv wheels and any sort of budget?
and if you can spare a nice $4000+ and are willing to go to 19inch then id say these
if not, most holden wheels look good on a commodore, just check out a site like wheelking, holmart, jhp etc and have a look at the range.
some wheels may not be on there though as they are much harder to find, like HBD W series wheels
yea i wanna buy these rims that are 18"x 7.5 but dunno if they gonna fit have 2 do some more research... cheers
go for the 19" ssv rims and low profile tires
cheap and look sick
yea hard finding them that have been machined 2 fit pre ve...
18 x 7.5 will fit without an worry I would think. I have 18 x 8's all 'round with low springs and very small spacers. Never had any clearance or scrubbing issues.
CJ - 1995 i like those rims where did u pick them up from ??
F l a k, i got told that these 18 x 7.5 are 2 skinny ?? should be at least 18 x 8 so yea... my car is very very low like my standard 15s rub when i plant it anywhere and my exhaust scrapes everywhere haha
ahh i got them from some wheel store in auburn area (sydney) haha i know sounds dodgey but seemed like a legit business to me. they were used but immaculate and i was told the guy drove the car straight from the dealer to his store. they were machined to fit because they are VE Calais rims and he put brand new tires (some brand i have never heard of though) on them. he also said he could do the same for theseVE 2 calais rims for 1700. i can find out the name of the store if you want.
Yeah 18 x 7.5 is pretty thin really, and you might want to roll your guards and get an adjustable panhard rod to help with scraping issues if you haven't yet.
