VS 5ltr auto problem.

Hey,
Driving home tonight my engine light came on just before pulling onto the highway, i got going and at 80ks it didnt go into topgear. It just slips in top. I still have all the other gears and yes it does have oil in the auto
Would anyone have a clue what the problem is?

Did you check the tans oil when the car was running?

Try doing an error code check to see if any auto trans error codes have logged.These codes can help point you to whats wrong..

Thanks Brett for the link. I got Code 66 - 3 - 2 Shift Control Solenoid Circuit Fault. Will drop into holden tomorrow to buy the parts needed.

Thanks for the link Brett, it came up with Code 66 - 3 - 2 Shift Control Solenoid Circuit Fault. So i'll be ordering part tomorrow.
