Yeah,it worked excellent.I only painted the inside of the tail light light lens though, which I think looks heaps better than painting the outside of the lens, its just a bit more fiddly doing the inside. The lights look as good as new again at night now..no pink look at all.Just a good deep red colour..I also did my oldies HQ ute tail light lenses, and they turned out excellent too. They had just about faded clear in both the orange and red sections..

I think it would work out cheaper than buying tinted lens! I might give it a go ! Thanks

Check this one out.Just had a quick look at ebay and found this.Theres probably heaps more on there.
EDIT- Looks like they make it for all different cars lenses.Didnt know that. The stuff I used was just for general use and didnt match any particular car,but it still looks excellent.
Found an amber commodore one.Bottom link.

Yeah,I never paid that much at bursons,I think it was around $10 -$15 for a spraycan which was enough to do both lights.

How did you paint the inside of the tail light???

Didn't know the lights come apart? Or maybe I haven't looked properly.

Through the bulb holes..its a pain to do,but it looks heaps better then painting the outside of the lens, which just looks crappy..

I will get one tomorrow if you like, but once they are painted on the inside, they just look like any standard taillights that are still in good condition, they look red instead of the faded pinkish colour. They turn out good I reckon.I was going to replace mine until I tried this.

you can get a sticker for the reflectors.

I have bought the dye for the lenses from autobarn, just sprayed it inside the lens and then tilted the assembly around at different angles and the build up of "paint" just rolled aroundand covered everything, you really have to remove the assembly to do it. Works well though.
