hey ive got a vs berlina 5l auto and its got a shift kit in it (the previous owner said) how do i know what sort its got in it?
also the diff is a "high performance HSV LSD" whats the differance between a normal lsd and a high performance or are they all called high performance lol
its also got a 80,000k hm motor in it does anyone know the specs on it or is it the same as factory?
Shift kit you won't know unless you find a receipt, or the shop that built it.
I dare say your LSD is just a regular LSD. Only other one I can think of is the Hydratrak but I doubt it'd be that. Maybe he said 'high performance' meaning it has shorter gearing, but I doubt anyone would do that.
Motor: I have no idea what you mean.

the tag on the diff actually says "high performance LSD" so i was guessing there must be a normal one and a high performance 1 lol
More like "high performance" is the title, and "LSD" is the subtitle of the tag![]()

Never heard of a "High performance" diff. The only thing it could be is the previous owner put in some shorter gears. Its not uncommon to do that, the 5ltrs(for me) are geared way to long. But for the most part hsv didnt do much to the cars in the 90's performance wise. Slap in a tune, put 185i stickers on the motor and change a few bits of fabric/plastics and upgrade the brakes. HSV basically had no performance mods to the engines, bar a set of crappy bannana extractors![]()
pretty sure ALL LSDs have that tag on them![]()
