Code 81 - 2-3 Shift Solenoid “B” Fault

i just had the computer error code that came up today read

Code 81 - 2-3 Shift Solenoid “B” Fault - Auto Transmission Only

i called a guy on anderson walk and he said $250 for a trans service and replace both solenoids does that sound like a reasonable price or are they easy to replace?

Not a hundred percent sure but a mate had a similar issue and i think it turned out to be a fuse?

Id just buy a transmission filter service kit for around $25,which includes a new pan gasket,and 5 litres of dexron111(3) type trans fluid for another $25,and buy the shift solenoids from the place in this link below, or from where ever, and just replace them yourself.Theres heaps of online "how-to" guides and videos etc to step you through changing these solenoids yourself..

damn i wish u had said it the other day you would have saved me a heap of money lol cost me 250 for a full trans service and 1-2 and 2-3 solenoids both replaced. but the car is all fixed and going heaps well now so was worth it lol
