Gday guys, hit a nasty pothole on tuesday (was actually the edge of the road had washed away) at about 80km/h.
Left rear rim (set of aftermarket 17s) has a decent buckle and a nasty 3" or so crack in it ... is it even legal to repair a damaged rim? or is it a throw away .. got no other wheels to chuck on it and no $$$ for new ones unfortunately.
Pics included,
Thanks

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
Took pics of the hole today to take to the council, gonna hit them up with the bill, see what they say
Also i think the strut is nackered, which is the reason i think it happened in the first place, gonna replace them ASAP cause the car seems to be floating and wondering all over the damn place now haha (or maybe its me being over cautious looking for faults)

The council might pay for the damage to your wheel, but if I was you I wouldn't mention that the strut was stuffed before you hit the pot hole I would tell them that the strut broke as well when you hit the pot hole
Yeah thats what i was thinking, they will try any excuse to get out of it, including "it happened because your strut was already broken"
So fingers crossed, lets see what results of this![]()
