Any one out had any experience with registering LWB ute in Victoria . Were having big issues as the previous owner in NSW removed the ambulance cab but didnt inform the RTA . Leaving setup as ambulance and seating for 5 on the NSW Rego papers .
It has the original plate for LWB Ute 2 seats mod ( JKAB ) in the engine bay and another one for the Ambulance cab on the door pillar for 5 seats.
Vic roads are now requiring us to get a full engineering report for something that already has been passed .
Another reason that there should be federal laws not state rules, Good luck with it but If they want something you have to do it unless you want a expensive garden ornament?

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
Yeah, they were built here in Tamworth NSW at Jacab industries.I think the company went broke or moved away or something. They used to employ a heap of workers here a few years back, they converted vans and utes into ambulances etc..They should be fully engineered to aussie specs and should be plated to say so, as they were used all around aussie and overseas too..I wonder if any of these ambulances were used in Victoria. If they were, they must have fully complied to the victorias auto rules and regs.Anyone ever see them getting around down that way?
just some added info. i have seen long wheel base utes (vr/vs) registered with vic plates in victoria.
so it should be possible
