ok ill have a look any more ideas out there
rear main seal???? That has oil passing by it not water, so if you have water coming out of that your motor sounds like it needs a good overhall!
chasing a similar thing in an LS1dad's WH has a mystery leak somewhere.

The water must be going somewhere. My car doesn't use/lose any ever.
Does your thermostat work properly? whats the temp gauge get up to? it could be dumping it from the overflow.
Get a 2ltr cottees cordial bottle, drill a hole in the lid, sit/strap it into your engine bay and run the overflow hose (The one which goes down to the road) into the bottle.
At least with this you will see quickly if the water is simply being purged.
good idea with the bottle Cracka ill do that tomorrow at least give me a start i guess thanks
my car goes through around the same probably a little less in a week, but what do you expect with an older model car, but i noticed that water was dripping from just behind the bell housing, any idea's on whats above that or why water would drip from there?
Id be getting the cooling system pressure tested to see where its leaking..this test doesnt cost much to get done..
hey free way wat area of adealide do u live?
To address the OP: they shouldn't lose any coolant.
Was it leaking coolant before the rear main seal was replaced or only after?
To (also?) address Shooter 88's coloant loss: coolant loss at the back of the motor/bell housing could be inlet manifold gasket, block welch plug or the gasket around the plate that holds the rear main oil seal.
Oh shit I forgot, The new rear main seal for the V6 models IS the whole plate and seal in one, if the leak has only occured since the rear main was replaced (And if it was a new model OEM item from holden, thus a complete assembly) than it could still be a suspect.
I cant believe I forgot that they updated the item. Sorry.
