    Lightbulb VS Statesman question

    Having a issue with my vs statesman,When at take off she revs to about 3500rpm and then kicks into gear, all the other gears change smoothly, she's an auto, has anyone got any info on what it could be?

    v6 or v8 ?? Are u saying from a complete stop in drive, u take off and the car goes up to 3500rpm before it changes gears ?? That sounds about normal mate to be honest

    How do you figure that? 3500PRM seems like a normal shift under normal acceleration

    Do you mean that it's stalling up to take off or it shifts gears at 3500 RPM?

    If you stop and take off eg at a set of lights, it goes up to 3500rpm before the gear changes, the rest of the changes are ok

    Refer to the diagram below. Shifting depends on the throttle opening as well as the trans gear and the shift mode. What you are experiencing is definitely not "normal" for a trans.
