    Default L67 Conversion

    Hey Guys,

Considering I will be able to go for my blacks in a few weeks, It's time to start doing the Forced Induction. I have decided to go with the L67 as it's the cheapest and easiest option for me atm. It will be getting placed into my VR Calais. As far as I know the only thing I will need in order to complete the Conversion is the Following

    L67 Motor
    L67 Gearbox
    Wiring harness
    ECU

Is there anything else that I will need?

    Thanks in advance.

Yep! As far as im told, I bought the last new one lol. I know CAPA had a few a short while back that had done minimal use in bench testing etc so they may have them still?
To the OP, if you cant find a good second hand one then yes your best bet would be to go with a walbro equivalent.
If your current auto is good then you wont NEED an L67 box. All that is different is the higher stall (2600rpm as compared to 1800rpm) and the flexplate uses a different external balance.
Also little things to be aware of like exhaust which won't bolt straight up. For example, you'll need to use a vs drivers side exhaust manifold (assuming you wont use an aftermarket set of header pipes) as the vt-vy version is different.

Thanks guys, I will be getting all the accessories with the motor so no biggie. Also I wouldn't of thought a vr gearbox would bolt up to an l67? Yeah I know I will have to say goodbye to my extractors, but will get some more a bit later down the track

Budget 2.7k roughly for an L67 complete. Look up 4BLOK on ebay.

Have got a few commodore only wreckers around my area, one have said everything for $2500 (That's including the gearbox) thought was rather good. Going to look around and see if I can get anything a bit cheaper
