Hey im wanting to take off my whole intake and polish it, was just wondering if i take the runners off would i need a new gasket?

Sort answer, yes. You need, inlet manifold gaskets, and i think front and rear seals. Since your taking the plenum off as well, get some new gaskets for the plenum and lid.

You will also need coolent as you have to drain the system to get it off.

Depends how much work you want to do, what you want to achieve. My opinion. Its not my think, id rather paint it silver and be done. You can just do your plenum, which is much easier, or you can buy it pre done for roughly $250 i think.

In the end, its your car, you put as much effort into it as you want to be shown. Unlike me you put alot in and it still says #### you. Lol.

If you still want to go ahead. Buy another intake and plenum. That why you can take your time, dont have to fork up big straight away and when its all done, its an afternoon to install it.

yeh might go to the wreckers and just polish one up, and take my time haha.Roughly how much are all these gaskets going to cost?

Wouldnt have a clue mate. Best to get them priced up yourself. I think all up, only have a very rough guess, $80?
I know a VRS gasket kit is roughly $150 so it has got to be considerably cheaper then that.
