Hi
I have a problem with my steering.
When the steering is straight or turning easy corners it's fine
but when i have to turn 90 degree turns or more where the steering is
nearing "full lock" it tightens up real bad and seems to lose the
"power" in the steering?
The Power steering fluid bottle is just under the "full" line
and looks pretty much red still and clean.
Would it be the Power Steering Pump thats faulty or something
in the Suspension\Steering part of things (or something else
entirely?)
Thanks
It could be a number of different things causing that.Id take it to a steering/suspension place and get them to check it all out,and get them to give you a quote on repairing the problem.Get back to us here first before committing to getting the car repaired, let us know what theyve said, and someone here will be able to give you more advice once we know more about whats wrong.Cheers.
Can you give a bit of background on this problem like: how long has this been happening...is the car high mileage....have you hit any gutters etc recently.

I only just bought the car a month ago.
I drove it home about 30KM's and have since taken it for a few spins (another 20Kms) as it's not rego'd atm and i definitely haven't hit anything? It's been like that since i got it. it's only done 215,000Km's? Normal steering feels fine as til it hits that point?
Thanks
I was planning on getting my mechanic to have a look at it and fix it
as part of the RWC Inspection i'm getting him to do for rego. He's trustworthy so i'll put it in and see what he says
and get back to you all!
