As per everybody esle have now got the same problem.
Have had no auto shifter light for ages but the dash cluster and rest were fine untill i decided to see why yesterday.
I put a test light into the auto shifter light socket to see if i had power and i heard the fuse blow from the fuse box under the steering.
Yep it blew the 5 amp one so replaced it now have no dash lights at all no parkers and no tail lights.
I took the 5 amp fuse out and put the test light on that and found i have no power going to that fuse.
Would it be a relay or something causing loss of power to the fuse?
need help c
cheers
I blew mine when i was fiddling with shit. Replaced the fuse, all good. Never heard of the problem before untill now. But id say safe to say its the wiring.
test lights dont blow fuses, there mite be a short somewhere
have u checked the fuse for ur parkers, its ion a dif fuse, and if that aint the problem, then try a df head light switch
I dont have any light for my speedo, rev counter, fuel gauge and temp gauge, or my auto shifter.
I replaced four bulbs the other day on the dash unit, that looked faulty, but still no dash lights.
My trip computer has lights
I have checked all the fuses under the steering wheel, where next?
Pete
Its all good, i found number 16 fuse to be blown, now my dash lights are working again, whoo hoo.
I didnt check the bottom three across fuses months ago, as like the older cars there use to be three "spare" fuses along the bottom.
Cheers Pete
