    Default Gear stick prob

My selecter doesnt spring up or down when I select a gear, it has just been stuck up for years so the gear stick just needs to be pushed up or down to select gears, luckily I've never had a drunk passenger push it into park while driving! I can see to replace the stick you'd prob need to remove the transmission as it appears to be attatched from underneath.
Happened to anyone else? Know how to fix it without swapping sticks over??
    Cheers guys.

If anyones confused let me know an I'll upload some pics.

You can get a brand new system pretty cheap. You dont have to remove your box, however you will have to get under it to take the link off. You will need a drill to remove the old rivets. and just replace the whole thing. I dont know how to just do the stick, but hey.

TBH is it that bad, i would consider urself lucky. But on the saftey side you do have a problem. But as above, that maybe the answer.
