I have fitted au twin thermos to my vs ss and had an auto electrician wire it with a temp switch. Just need to know if and if so how big I would space the bolts which go into the water pump after the engine fan has bin removed. Think I read it's clutched and you have space the same distance as the thickness of the fan u removed but just want an opinion. Cheers
I think i put 2 or 3 washers under mine.
EDIT: Yeah 3 washers
I still need to do this.....anyone wanna do it for me ? =S

I did two and there probably not thick enough. But even two washers look dodgey
Get a shorter bolt....
Or a gilmer belt drive
You could get shorter bolts, but is it seriously worth the effort. A quick trip to bunnings and a few 6cent washers later its all bolted up and ok.
wat thickness do you think it is 3mm????
gilmer belt doesn't go on the water pump. may if I put an electric water pump I would be happy
sorry just released how stupid that comment was . . . .
??Whats the issue with just throwing some washers under the pulley, go buy some and whack em in.

2 or 3 it won't matter much at. how hard is it too fit gilmer belt drive with a/c and power steer on a vs. hard to change the a/c pulley or power steer. is it hard to space out properly wen fitting. hard to get bolts.
A gilmer belt drive would be the expensive option, however youre half way there with the thermo fans
yeh washers r just short term solution til I get gilmer belt
