    Default VS coolant leak somewhere???

hello i have a V6 1995 VS commodore Series 1 and i am trying to figure out where my coolant leak is, i didnt have ANY leak about 2 weeks ago when i last checked but 2 days ago i noticed a massive patch on the driveway and since then ive had to topup the radiator and reserve tank before every drive i go to do, i havnt really measured how much i have to add per day yet but i know im using atleast 2 Litres per day.
me and a mate have felt around the waterpump and cant find anything that would indicate a leak, especially to the level that i seem to be losing, we did find a substantial amount of liquid buildup on the underside of the pulley just above my sump though.

any help on this issue would be loved, i already have enough problems with my electrics being possessed lol xD.

if you need any further information on the car or problem please let me know, i would like to fix this as soon as possible.

Considering you've got coolant down the front of the motor and on your harmonic balancer i'd be carefully inspecting the water pump, top radiator hose, all around the thermostat, hose connection points on the radiator for cracks etc. Also check the witness hole on the water pump.
    Cheers

so where would this witness hole be? as stated above we felt all around the water pump seal and couldnt find water anywhere near the levels that were situated on the pulley just below it? anyway me and my mates are night shift workers so i will have a look when we actually get up in 4 hours lol. thanks for the tip.

edit - so that bottom pulley is the harmonic balancer? was wondering why it needed 3 sizes and yet the belt stays on the large one xD

Sounds like its the pump, if its on the harmonic balancer. If theres that much water around you must be able to take it for a run and get the system pressure up, then park it and have a look for the water.

Its the water pump I had the same problem I thought it was everything else but it was the pump, what happens is the seal stuffs up and the gasket wears away.

I've had similar things happen with vr's and vs v6's
One was the water pump bearing but was leaking in such a fine mist i didn't pickup on it for 2 weeks untill i was leaning into the engine bay to check something else and copped a fine mist that i couldn't see in the face.
I've had in vs v6's the pipe that goes into the water pump via the guts of the belt tensioner leak from a o-ring.
and i've also had those plastic heater taps leak.
