1995 VR Calais Headlights problem

hey my low beams on my headlights dont work when i turn the headlight switch too low beam, but they work when my high beams are on????

please help

i would be thinking blown fuse or headlight globes blown

ohk, but my low beam turns on when i have my high beam on

that would be the high beam coming on, H4 globes have 2 filaments

I would be checking the bulbs too, the highbeam and dip beams run off the same fuses

check easy things first, fuses, relays, bulbs, then move on to getting a multimeter and checking for continuity
