The rear stock ( I think) suspension on my VS seems too firm. The rear of the car spins out too easily when cornering in the wet or on gravel.
The shockies appear to be ok
The wide tyres have plenty of tread. Wheels are balanced and aligned.
I bought the car 2nd hand and have since had some differential problems repaired.
Any thoughts?
My VY does not experience this problem but I have owned it since new and it has been well looked after

Soild diff or IRS?
My VS with a live axle trys to kill me. I run 235s. However, i have a raised version, higher then stock. Dont even go there.. I do believe being not only live axle with the amount of body roll i have is the cause.
Drive to the conditions? Buy better tyres?
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
What's wrong with going sideways in the wet?
/sarcasim
Would lowering it at all help? Not "slammed" just lowered maybe FE2 or somehting
My VS does the same sometimes but I know its because I hit the accelerator to hard sometimes. Just go easier on the accelerator.

Half the time i dont accelerate when going round this round about near me. Im doing roughly 60km/h. Its such a huge round about. Could be the surface of the road too. One small one around me is slippery to all cars.
All right look man there lots of ways you can do this all right. Handbraking is the easiest so the first thing I want you to do, i want you to rip that E-Brake all right. After you rip that E-Brake then I want you to power over..
dennis52 looks puzzled about the power over
You know what, just don't mess up your VS all right?![]()

Best advice in this thread was to drive to the conditions and use less right foot, my only thing to add is to apply more right foot to the brake pedal BEFORE entering the corner and all should be sweet, by the way you arn't trying to cut across too sharp are you? maybe you should do an advanced driving course.
Not having a crack, I did one, it involved race condition driving but it also taught me allot about proper cornering and the "science" behind it all, well actually take the "" away becuase science does apply :P
Yeah I'll be doing one of those courses, it's worth it, could save your life
Less right foot, works for me, get out and do a driving performance course helps heaps
I reckon its because you have 250kw with that air induction & 2.5 lukey system?
Sounds like ur running with excess height aswell as some wicked high level of profile. Given ur hight, i would seriously think about running a 45 profile tyre. Also why do you run wide tyres, get urself a narrower tyre if you want better grip in the wet.
its happened to me once also wet roundabout checked the rear tyres and noticed the inside worn because of the independent rear and lowered changed the tyres fixed the problem, it was not a too fast through the roundabout, just over looked tyres and wear
Is this thread for real?
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
accelerate harder, see with fast cars the tyres need to heat up to gain traction , you mustve not been planting that foot hard enough![]()

Get a spoiler and drive really fast to generate downforce to gove you more rear end stability
