hey all i was planing on changing the valley seal, and i just have a few questions. do i have to disconnect the cruise control with the throttle body? or just leave that on?
and the fuel pump fuse (depressurize fuel) is that the fuse with F/pump? (may be a stupid question, but just making sure lol.
and if the plenum bolts are 3-6nm and the manifold bolts are 3-6 then 12-18
cheers
You could leave the cruise cable connected, but to make your workspace in the engine bay less cluttered its easiest just to remove it. Personally, I remove the 3 10mm nuts that hold the cable bracket to the plenum and remove the throttle and cruise cable ends from the throttle body linkage, leaving the cables attached to the bracket only.
Yes that's the correct fuse for the fuel pump.
I don't have torque figures available atm sorry. Manifold torque sounds about right, but plenum bolts should be tighter than that. I'd certainly recommend investing $40 on a good (Gregory's) workshop manual that'll give you a user friendly step by step guide, also with all relevant torque specs etc.
Cheers

My How to might help out to mate. its for a VR but similar steps
I forgot to depressure the fuel when i was half way though, but just undone the clamp and was stuff all pressure anyway. Disconnect the battery !
