Need help with stalling vs

Hey guys i recently purchased a vs series 2 commodore. And when i drive and im slowing down the car constantly stalls.. now i have been reading these posts from other threads and alot of them suggest injector cleaning.. the car has a tow bar too.. so it could be an electric fault to do with that.. im going to get the crank sensor and all that checked out luckily the cars under warranty.. haha.. yeh so i was just wondering if u guys had any suggestions?

I had the same symptoms with my VR. After a fair amount of money given to various mechanics I came across an auto electrician who immediately removed the Cat Converter and showed me the collapsed internals. I had no rattles or other noise from the exhaust other than a once only "pop" in the exhaust before stalling. He explained the excess backpressure caused the stalling. New cat and it never did it again.
This is my experience only as there could be many other causes of the stalling.

My bro has a VS series 2 equipe and it has exactley the same problem.

We went to Ultratune the other day and had a quick squizz over the engine and they found out that the car had VT injectors installed.:my: and it was running very rich. Fuel economy was crap.

I think VT injectors are bigger than VS injectors and they have a different spray pattern. The mechanic said that there was too much power for the idle and the transmission kept grabbing, so when you slowed down quickly or stopped the engine stalled.

Getting VS injectors on Monday so hopefully that should be end of his troubles.

Maybe you could have a gander at your injectors?
