    Default Clutch Shudder

ok, this probably seems strange, but anyway. its a 5spd manual VS Ute (2000)

driving along its fine but after about 1hr or when the car gets hot when i go to take off the clutch shudders really hard and requires a fair few revs to take off while letting the clutch out slowly.

has anyone heard of this before
could it mean the clutch is going, or has possibly gone?
    any fixes?

    thanks
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

Does it slip?? Seems like your flywheel is getting hot and possibly needs machining.

maybe the clutch master cylinder and line needs bleeding or replacing.
if the clutch plate is stuffed it would slip.
if it keeps shuddering then the flywheel will need machining, then you may as well replace the clutch at the same time.

Some possibles are: soft/broken engine mounts....oil on clutch facings....clutch plate friction surface worn down to rivets....hydraulic fluid line from master cylinder to slave mounted too close to exhaust causing fluid to boil....flywheel distorted (don't think you can machine these as dual mass)
I hope it's simple as they can be expensive to fix, and I'd try and track it down soon.

You can machine dual mass flywheels, depends on the condition though

    thanks for that guys.
i think ill take it to the mechanic and see what he also says, which will probably be book it in.

and if its expensive to fix, its tax time so thatll easily pay for it =P
