i bought a lightened flywheel (looks like it was cast lighter rather than machined) anyway it came with a 'heavy duty' clutch
the flywheel is a match for the one or my VS SS 5.0 but the clutch that is curently on the car is smaller than the one on the new flywheel
so i cant fit my existing clutch on the new light flywheel
it all measures up ok in terms of fitting the T5 and the 5.o crank
the light flywheel has its pressure plate mounting holes at 295 mm in diameter
the stock 5.0 flywheel has its at 282 mm
the flywheels are both 305 overall
so what do i have? is the light flywheel with the larger clutch of another model?

I've been told there's a difference in shaft specs from vn/vp t5 v8 boxes and vr/vs S1 (&2) boxes.
When i looked at bellhousings there were also different ones to suit which era box to fit it to, so my guess would be if it's different to your's it's probably vn/vp spec.
I might be wrong on this but it's a theory anyhow.
I've had problems in the past buying clutches to suit my 5ltrs. Never really sused it out tho.
