have just bought a eibach pro kit 30-40mm lowered and in need of suggestions for good struts / rear shocks to suit my VS wagon.I have a whitline front bar and lower control arm mounting kit to fit as well.
Never heard of that brand before. What size wheels do you have? That 2 iv used and will recommend are monroe and pedders. You did also get a strut brace and a adjustable pan hard rod?
Just a thought since your taking the struts out.. Do the strut top bushes and bearings. I have a how to on all this if your interested.
With those springs I would use Koni shockers.
Just the normal oil (red ones). These can be adjusted out of the car, 5 stages, rebound only.
These will ad some 'tunability' to the setup but I find they work best straight out of the box.
IIRC the fronts will require some cutting and drilling to fit (not that hard) as they are a cartridge type insert rather than the whole leg.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
thanks, didn't think about the all the other stuff in particular the brace and panhard rod.eibach are german made and are cheap at the moment to suit the VS.Lowndes runs this brand in the V8 supacars.have 16 X 7'S with 215 X 60 series C drives at present.cheers
will check them out, KYB do a adj gas unit AGX?has anyone used them?
Do you have a link for a site that does Holden. Their main one does not mention Holden.
Have a gander at this site for a how to with monroe. How to: New struts and/or springs: Commodore - Motordrenaline
eibach direct is the website i bought off, couldn't link it for you.thanks for yours.cheers
I would forget gas shockers.
Koni oil are waaaay better than KYB adjustable gas.

good advise, along with the panhard rod should adjustable top trailing arms be fitted for pinion angle?the tail shaft on these wagons don't like being at awkward angles?,thoughts?
